Six bloggers. One mission. HAVE FUN!
That was the goal a few weekends ago while staying at Westgate Town Center in Kissimmee, Florida.
I’m a little ashamed to admit that all this time living in Orlando, and working right down the street, I had no idea how much Westgate Town Center had to offer. Round the clock activities, amazing food options and just 10 minutes from Disney; it’s like living in a dream world.
I left work on Friday night, only to feel instantly relaxed when I arrived on Westgate property. The tropical landscaping and tree-lined driveway leading the way to the resort entrance give you the sense that paradise is just ahead. Shortly after making it through the security gate, you are welcomed by the towering Town Hall.
This is where I checked in. One thing I love about Westgate is the customer service. Everyone is so warm and welcoming. The Town Center is also where families can purchase attraction tickets and even catch a movie in the Disney movie theater.
I was handed my keys and map of the property and shortly escorted to my home away from home for the weekend.
We opened the door to our room and instantly felt even more relaxed. Like a little kid, I ran through the spacious room yelling out each time I saw something I liked…
“Look at the huge bed”
“Look at the massive bathtub”
“Oh my goodness, look at the view”
Yep, that was me on Friday night. It doesn’t matter how many times I stay at Westgate, every time feels like the first and I fall in love with the resort even more.
We took a little time to freshen up and relax before heading out to dinner. I plopped down on the comfy leather couch, and to be honest, I didn’t really want to get up.
But, soon, my stomach began to rumble, so it was time to eat. We walked to Drafts Sports Bar and Grill and again the customer service was spot on. And, the food was just as good.
After dinner, we strolled through the property, beneath the full moon. Swan Lake sits in the center of the property, and the water glistened under the full moon, it was picturesque.
We made it back to the room and sat on the balcony and watched the Disney fireworks before calling it a night. Seriously, how often can you say you watched Disney fireworks from the comforts of your home away from home?
I sure did sleep good that night and dreamt about all the fun activities I was planning on doing the next day.
