Well, hello again! It’s been awhile. As I sit here, 10th cup of coffee in hand, I’m wondering–what happened to summer? I scroll through my Instagram feed and notice many of my friends to the north are already posting about Fall, cooler weather and making s’mores. Well, that’s definitely not the case here in Florida, as you can see from the temperature in my car just this past Friday.
Time is just moving way too fast. Please slow down!!! Pretty please!
Do you ever have that dream when you are running away from something or someone and you can’t run fast enough, or your legs just don’t work? I have been feeling like that a lot lately, the problem is, it’s not a dream. I am one of those who hates missing out and always wants to try something new, so I’ll volunteer and commit myself to just about everything. My boss keeps reminding me to take it easy or I’m going to hit a wall. I think I’m almost there. Between work, planning a wedding and trying to find “me” time, I just can’t keep up. I don’t know how people do it. I am open to suggestions…
I give my blogger friends a lot of credit. Keeping up with a blog, family and hectic travel schedule seems like an impossible task to me right about now.
To prove how busy I have been, here is a round-up of my summer…hope you can keep up.
I went to The Orlando Eye, of course I did.
Tried to squeeze in a little R & R on Captiva Island.
Went to Lexington, Kentucky for work and fell in love. I had no idea I was going to like Kentucky as much as I did.
Maybe it was the Bourbon…nah!
Another work trip took me to Bloomington, Indiana. At least I can now check Indiana off the list of states I have visited. Can I go back to Kentucky now?
After hiking through these woods, I understand why no bikes are allowed on the “trails.” I don’t think they should allow humans in general. Way too many spiders and not enough trail.
Timber!
At least there was champagne at the end of the day.
I volunteered at Give Kids the World. Have I mentioned how much I adore children? And these had to have been some of the bravest children I’ve ever met.
I also loved my Vera Bradley apron.
After 30 years living in Florida, I finally did something every Floridian should do, swim with manatees in Crystal River.
Incredible experience. I’ll probably blog about that someday.
And of course, I went on The Orlando Eye a few more times throughout the summer.
Fall will probably fly by just as fast as summer did, but I will do my best to keep up.
Until next time…
