The time has come, I am finally taking a much needed vacation to Lexington, Kentucky with my fiancé. It will give us a chance to spend some quality time together as well as disconnect from the world, something we both have a very hard time doing. He is guilty of checking emails and answering client phone calls after hours whereas I also have this issue, but my greater problem is social media.
I’ll admit it; I think I am addicted to social media.
So, during this getaway, I am going to break free and disconnect from the world of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Periscope…what else am I missing? (Caveat, I get one hour in the evening to upload a photo or two and I get some time to document my day social media-less via my blog.) I am honestly excited to try this. And nervous because I’m not sure I can go a whole day without checking my Instagram.

You know you have a problem when you wake up in the middle of the night and start checking social media, and scrolling through your newsfeed is your only way to fall back to sleep.
So, I’m sorry fellow Snapchatters, but I am going on a hiatus. I will be back next week.
That is if I’m able to disconnect. Wish me luck!
P.S.: I’m doubting myself as I am writing this post. Yee of little faith.
